Waste Water Department

The main purpose of a wastewater treatment plant is to protect downstream users such as:
aquatic life, humans, animals, and vegetation. The current City of Kimball Wastewater Treatment facility has been in operation since 1979, With a complete overhaul in 2002. We also have a 90kw generator in case of power outages. The facility employs two certified full time staff members.

The wastewater treatment facility is a full time mechanical activated sludge plant, and the operators are responsible for all repairs, maintenance and USEPA, NDEE testing. The operators are also full-time meter readers so say hi when you see us in your yard reading meters.
