The main purpose of a wastewater treatment plant is to protect downstream users such as:
aquatic life, humans, animals, and vegetation. The current City of Kimball Wastewater Treatment facility has been in operation since 1979, With a complete overhaul in 2002. We also have a 90kw generator in case of power outages. The facility employs certified full-time employees.
The wastewater treatment facility is a full-time mechanical activated sludge plant, and the operators are responsible for all repairs, maintenance and USEPA, NDEE testing.
