The City of Kimball (Owner) is advertising for bids for a Generation Implementation Design-Build Project (Project). The Owner has procured four 2005 Caterpillar (CAT) 2MW 3516B generators to be installed as part of the Project.

The Owner is requiring bids from qualified design builders; therefore, prospective bidders must be pre- qualified. Prequalification forms are available upon request from Mike Mansour, (970) 556-8627, mansourm@exponentialengineering.com. Bid documents will be February 16, 2023. 

An in-person pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM MST on February 9, 2023 at Kimball City Hall located at 223 South Chestnut Street, Kimball, NE 69145. Attendance is optional. A virtual (Microsoft Teams) connection will be provided on the City’s website for those that cannot attend in person.

Questions regarding the bid documents shall be submitted via e-mail to Mike Mansour,
mansourm@exponentialengineering.com. The cut-off date and time for questions is February 28, 2023 at 5:00PM. The list of questions and responses will be provided to all pre-qualified bidders.  Sealed bids for the Generation Implementation Design-Build Project will be accepted until 2:00PM MST on March 21, 2023 at the Owner’s office located at 223 South Chestnut Street, Kimball, NE 69145.

 Emailed bids are preferred and shall be sent to bids@kimballne.com, Attention: Annette Brower, City Administrator – Generation Implementation Design-Build Project.

 Bids delivered via USPS or private courier (Fed Ex, UPS) shall be in a separate sealed envelope within the shipping package and sent to: Attention: City Administrator – Generation Implementation Design-Build Project, 223 South Chestnut Street, Kimball, NE 69145. Bids received after the deadline will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Award of contract is anticipated to take place during Owner’s City Council meeting on April 17, 2023.
